iced tea contains high concentrations

A word of caution though - iced tea contains high concentrations of oxalate, one of the key chemicals that lead to the formation of kidney stones, a common disorder of the urinary tract that affects about 10 percent of the population in the United States. Nearly two million Americans drink iced tea daily - so that's a lot of kidney stones! Just two glasses of iced tea daily is safe and with the addition of lemon into your homemade iced tea, you will be perfectly okay. Why lemon? Because lemons are very high in citrates, which inhibit the growth of kidney stones. Men unfortunately are four times more likely to suffer from kidney stones - so be sure to add plenty of lemon to your man's iced tea.
Conclusion. Moderation in all things - like my granny used to say. Invest in a vacuum flask and start brewing your own iced tea. The environment and your body will thank you. And the nearly $1000 you save every year? Take a vacation, it's what most Americans need more than anything.
