These stones were found as a desired
outcome of an action that resulted to affect something by the action of a
glacier, especially by erosion.
In which a broad flat thin expanse of a
substance, especially ice or water that became sheets of ice that tugged the
stones out of the bedrock and then ground off the rough edges and left them in
a narrow piece of land that juts out from the mainland into an area of water
near northwestern Michigan.
These Petoskey stones are said to be broken
pieces of coral reef that was an accumulation of natural materials found
throughout Devonians geology unit of geologic time, this is said to have taken
place about 350 million years ago.
